Watch NeverDead's first 10 minutes and see the PS3 and 360 versions compared in video

Have you been following NeverDead? In case it's slipped under your radar of games (someone should make a website around that idea... maybe RadarGames?), it's a demon hunting actioner from Konami, developed by Rebellion Developments. And, as our videos here show, it's looking mighty promising. We've got two custom videos for you to peruse - the first is this 'first 10 minutes', captured from the PS3 version:

The second is a direct-feed comparison between the two versions, showing you synced cut-scenes and same-level gameplay:

The game is out on January 31 in the US and February 3 in the UK and Europe. Feel like seeing more? Why not meet the Swordpig?

All said, this game doesn't look that good, in my opinion. Bad dialog, floaty gameplay... not my cup of tea. If the story suffices, I'll check it out. But seriously, that dialog isn't good.

Oh my god. The comments made my day. Everybody is acting all butthurt about how comparison videos will just lead to fanboy bitching ... but really the only bitching was ABOUT the comparison video itself. My second favorite comment was the dumbass who requested a comparison of this game on PC. Psst ... it's not coming out on PC. Yes we all are impressed that your rig you upgraded a month ago has a better videocard than a game console who's specs are from 2005. Pat yourself on the back you magical man of the future, or I guess you should have your robot butler do that.

Say you work at a company and, both you and your coworker have the same job, and you don't lose anything from sharing news and you would get the info out to more people, would you share the news? also the other worker is based in a different country. if you answered yes you have a brain, both GR and CVG are owned by Future, show no one is stealing anything, GR is just spreading info
  • UberNoob - January 17, 2012 1:12 p.m.

A fanboy storm be brewing... Oh, and: QUIT WITH THE COMPARISON CRAP!!!
  • PevMaster - January 17, 2012 1:01 p.m.

Really, GamesRadar? Seriously? These 'comparison' videos are complete bullshit very likely released to watch Xbox or PS3 fanboys rage at each other. This second thing I'm about to say will probably be controversial, though. GamesRadar has gone to shit. The site used to be about very well-written reviews, insightful lists and funny writing is no more. Nowadays, you just steal news stories from CVG and make stupid articles that nobody cares about. (Why in the name of God would ANYONE want to read about boxes? The article wasn't even funny, and wasted my time to be frank.) And another thing, somebody in the GR offices seems to love Portal a little TOO MUCH. First, you declare the first Portal the greatest game of all time, and secondly you give Portal 2 an undeserved GOTY. There were so many other, stronger contenders that you could have picked, such as Batman, Skyrim and The Witcher 2, but you reasoned that "Skyrim's too buggy" and "The Witcher 2 is too complex for some people" and, in one of the year's stupidest sentences, you said something like "er...some people don't like Batman...and er...we wouldn't force them to play this". Yes, Portal 2 is polished and has some brainy puzzles and all that. I know, I've finished both Portals. But Portal 2 is really just an expansion on the original with more features. And yes, I know length doesn't equal quality (Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of my GOTYs despite being around 50 hours long) but Portal 2 simply won't keep a true gamer going enough for it to be justified as GOTY. Yeah yeah yeah, it may be 'accessible to all' and 'condensed greatness' and all that, but Skyrim, Batman and The Witcher ALL maintain their excellence all the way through as well, despite being up to hundreds of hours long. Bugs? Taste? So what? The others WERE BETTER GAMES than Portal 2, despite maybe Zelda, but I don't want to attract more controversy by going into my dislike of the Nintendo franchise. Yes, some very strong words in this comment, but I'm really trying to stress that the quality of GR has taken a massive nosedive. I'm not trying to insult you, far from it, I just want to tell you that I'm dissapointed that my former favourite gaming website has fallen from its post. Please take into account what I have said and don't dismiss it as the ramblings of a madman. Some GR commentors will surely disagree with me, but this is just my opinion.

*sighs* Okay, you know what? I give it, I'm not gonna waste energy typing about how these videos are idiotic. In fact, this is the last time I'm commenting or even clicking on an article taht has a comparison. because obviously, that's the reason they are doing this: To get hits and comments, and since a lot of people have come in (if only to complain and slam GR) we're giving them exactly what they want. So instead of slamming this anymore, sinc eit's obvious what they care about are hits and comments, I'm not gonna give them to them anymore. just posting this here to TRY and advice others to do the same: If you want these videos to stop, stop commenting or clicking on them, the less traffic GR gets out of them, the less they win and will eventually stop.
  • taokaka - January 17, 2012 6:03 p.m.

I will stop commenting on them then. I just realized by commenting on this comment I've broken my commenting promise.
  • samsneeze - January 17, 2012 12:37 p.m.

The thing about comparison videos is, from what I can tell, that they usually generate more traffic for the site. It's as simple as that. On any given day, when they release articles, the comparison videos are usually the most commented on for that day. I still don't like them and think they are pointless unless the performance difference between the platforms is something that actually makes one game far less enjoyable to play.
  • Jacko415 - January 17, 2012 12:09 p.m.

Hey. SHUT THE FUCK UP. If you actually wanna see a difference, and not just pointlessly fuel fanboy rage for hits, COMPARE IT TO PC.
  • onetimebuster - January 17, 2012 10:37 a.m.

Ok if this comparison stuff doesnt stop im leaving this was one place that was safe from most fanboy stuff.
  • ultimatepunchrod - January 17, 2012 10:36 a.m.

So, no difference at all? Great. On topic though this game looks cool.
  • boondocks50 - January 17, 2012 10:01 a.m.

  • An_Awesome_Guy - January 17, 2012 9:32 a.m.

Wait just a minute... This isn't "your" video at all, why, I saw it on CVG earlier today! What other lies have we been fed?!
  • PevMaster - January 17, 2012 1:02 p.m.

GR steals every news story from CVG.
  • samsneeze - January 17, 2012 1:35 p.m.

They don't "steal every" news story.
  • ObliqueZombie - January 17, 2012 9:25 a.m.

Please, stop with these comparisons. I, personally, don't see a difference, but if there WERE a slight half-second in one version or the other, it shouldn't matter in the slightest. We as gamers are becoming more and more spoiled, and for too many people, that little half-second is enough to justify one system over the other, and start an unfounded flame war. I mean, David Houghton already slapped the collective hands of the gamer "community," calling us out on not being a community at all, but a group of three or four clans looking to slit each other's throats. That said, these game looks pretty interesting. Leave it to Japan to give us creative games that no one has done before.
  • bass88 - January 17, 2012 9:46 a.m.

I agree wholeheartedly. I suspect that these comparisons are being forced onto the GamesRadar staff. So to whoever is in charge, please stop the comparisons. I come onto GamesRadar for the witty commentary and in-depth reviews. Not to accidently partake in a flame war. If I wanted that I would hang around CVG. Comparisons should be kept to the reviews. Also, are Rebellion Developments not English?
