Mortal Kombat's 'Season Pass' released, offers DLC package deal

Eagerto increase the size and girth of your Mortal Kombat roster? There's a cream for that. And by 'cream', we mean Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm's newly launched 'Season Pass' which allows players to pre-purchase the next four character DLC packs for a reduced bulk price, while also skoring some klassic goodies along the way.

Non-Season Pass holders will still be able to purchase the new characters at the same time as their Season Pass brethren for 400 MPs (US$5) a piece. They will also be privy to the free compatibility tweaks and 'klassic skins'. Doing the math, that means the main benefit to picking up the Season Pass is the opportunity to buy four characters for the price of three.

The Mortal Kombat 'Season Pass' is available now for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. No word if PS3 owners will receive a similar opportunity down the road.
