Mortal Kombat: Skarlet DLC teaser brings more lore and gore

Say what you like about Mortal Kombat: the series isn't one for subtlety, suggestion, or clever-clogs allusion. If you're dropping a trailer about DLC featuring Skarlet, a lovely lady in red (as in blood red), then by God, put those poetic metaphors away and be all “blood, blood, bloodthirsty, bloody blood,” explaining how the reason her teaser-trailer was so blood-centric is because she's actually made out of magic blood that compels her to shed blood in the name of Shao Khan. Then, be sure to fill said trailer with... sweat? Nope, just more BLOOD!

Skarlet becomes downloadable on June 21 for 400 MSP or $4 on PlayStation Network. Also launching that day will be MK3-style skins for Cyrax and Sektor; in the meantime, you'll just have to subsist on the meager pittance of claret-tinged hemoglobin-content available in the original title. Surely you'll manage.

Will Rain have a classic skin like the others?

"If Skarlet discovers a plot to betray her creator, there will be..." Blood? "Hell to pay!" Oh...

Hell toupee. Looks like Quan Chi needs one. Anyway, 400 MSP is a ridiculous amount of money to charge for ONE character. Man, I'd RATHER buy horse armour...

I don't understand why everyone wants Rain, that guy was just some douche.

A new character will be good, I just hope the other DLC becomes available here in New Zealand as well.

While 400 MSP sounds like a bit, didn't the characters for Marvel versus Capcom 3 cost more? And I think the ones for Blazblue: Continuum Shift are 500-600 points. They'll probably release all the DLC characters and news skins in packs later down the line for a discounted price, so perhaps I'll wait for that.
