Say what you like about Mortal Kombat: the series isn't one for subtlety, suggestion, or clever-clogs allusion. If you're dropping a trailer about DLC featuring Skarlet, a lovely lady in red (as in blood red), then by God, put those poetic metaphors away and be all “blood, blood, bloodthirsty, bloody blood,” explaining how the reason her teaser-trailer was so blood-centric is because she's actually made out of magic blood that compels her to shed blood in the name of Shao Khan. Then, be sure to fill said trailer with... sweat? Nope, just more BLOOD!
Skarlet becomes downloadable on June 21 for 400 MSP or $4 on PlayStation Network. Also launching that day will be MK3-style skins for Cyrax and Sektor; in the meantime, you'll just have to subsist on the meager pittance of claret-tinged hemoglobin-content available in the original title. Surely you'll manage.
