Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance - Five minute TGS trailer brings actual stealth and unfathomable badassery

Platinum Games' Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has a new trailer direct from the Tokyo Game Show. It's over five minutes long, features the first proper look at some proper actual stealth gameplay, and is otherwise containing of so much showboating badassery as to be almost nauseating. In a good way.

In fact there's so much action and story packed into the trailer that it might almost feel spoilerific, were it not for the fact that the entire thing is currently in Japanese. As it is though, click play and enjoy the sensory overload (though maybe excersise a little caution if you do actually speak Japanese).

Looking forward to next February just that little bit more now, or holding out for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes?

Holy crap, this is looking AMAZING. I really can't wait. The bosses seem to be shaping up to be amazing, and- correct me if I'm wrong- but the weapon the woman with all the arms is wielding, the long spear-like thing, hasn't Raiden been shown wielding something VERY similar to that in past trailers? Kind of leads me to think that Platinum are doing the DMC/Bayonetta thing where they give you a new weapon after each boss, which'd be totally fine in my books. Still, pity they couldn't at least have given us English subtitles. I guess it gives us something to look forward to, though. Especially since a whole lot of that seemed to be the kind of prologue to the game.

As if I wasn't already sold out in this game, this trailer only makes me more impatient to play it! I mean... Really, as a spin-off, this works perfectly because it just embraces the over the top aspect of the Metal Gear franchise in full. And you still get stealth at some points, but it's all faster paced and the action looks fantastic... same with those bosses. Also, I know it won't be for many, but for me that second to last scene was an awesomely silly scene XD I just get amused any time Mexicans are shown in a videogame XD
