Mass Effect 3 "Rebellion" Multiplayer DLC pack, screens revealed

It may not be the epilogue DLC that fans are so eagerly awaiting, but it's hard to argue with free DLC! Today, Bioware officially announced the Rebellion multiplayer DLC pack, the second free MP DLC released since Mass Effect 3 hit the market in March.

The pack boasts a pretty large array of content. Included are two new maps: Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddess; three new weapons: the Cerberus Harrier Assault Rifle, Reegar Carbine Shotgun, and Krysae Sniper Riflel; as well as six new classes: Vorcha Soldier, Vorcha Sentinel, Male Quarian Engineer, Male Quarian Infiltrator, Ex-Cerberus Vanguard, and Ex-Cerberus Adept.

The DLC pack is due out for all three versions on May 29 and is free to download for players with the Online Pass.

    Anyone have races/classes they want to see in the next DLC? Volus Adepts, Drell Infiltrators, Elcor Sentinal, Turian Vanguard, Quarian Soldier (QUARIAN FLEET MARINES KE'LAH SE'LAI), a Rachni Engineer would be interesting, but I highly doubt they'd ever use a non-bipedal race for multiplayer (no Hanar either).

    Woah, vorcha??? that's pretty sweet! And yeah, those biotic whips look swell as well. It would be nice though, if they could introduce new types or sets of enemies though. Almost every wave is the same with just three flavors to choose from, no matter the stage.

    There is a lot they could actually do with just those three enemy types. Mix and match Reaper and Cerberus troops, perhaps. Make players have to fight Phantoms and Banshees at the same time. I'm personally hoping they'll eventually decide to toy around with maps and their objectives. Make a whole map a defense objective with turrets and such, something like that. It's doubtful they'll actually do such things, though.

    Yeah, very true. Just mixing the three enemy types would make enough new combinations to make things more interesting. It's just, maps are nice and all, but really, they are glorified decor, what would liven and add more variety to the MP is if they had more enemy types or set ups or objectives like you said.

    Personally, I think it'd be awesome if they created specific maps that have two or more steps to them. Ex: Have Phase 1 be normal or be a large defense objective as previously said, then Phase 2 be an escape of some kind. Perhaps from an oncoming horde of troops that have to be fended off at checkpoints or constantly, or have to escape from an actual Reaper if they really wanted to knock it out of the park.

    New enemies/combos would do so much for the MP. New objectives would do unfathomably more, I would think. Especially map exclusive objectives. Maps, characters, and guns are nice, but the MP needs more depth. That aside: biotic whips. I need them. I don't know if programming is different for single-player, but I really wanna see all these new guns and powers in the campaign. Seriously: biotic whips. Fuck. Belmonts. Samus. Biotics. Whips. Vampire Killer. Grapple Beam. Dracula. Pluh. I need biotic whips.

    According to the briefing for this weekend's N7 mission, since the community goal wasn't met for the previous N7 mission, there will be a chance for Banshees to pop up while fighting Cerberus or Geth.

    this is how multiplayer packs should be done. even if it's only 2 maps the new guns and characters more than make up for it. i cant wait for this. i'm excited for the vorcha for some reason =D

    Are we ever going to be able to use any of these new multiplayer weapons in the single player campeign? That;s what I want to know
