Mass Effect 3 "Leviathan" DLC gets launch trailer

Bioware has launched a new trailer today which gives us a glimpse at the latest DLC pack for Mass Effect 3 which features Commander Shepherd hunting down an exile reaper named Leviathan.

We can't help but hope the DLC culminates in Shepherd climbing into that Big Daddy-esque underwater mech to find Leviathan building Rapture beneath the sea. But if it just involves him have a one-on-one talk/climactic confrontation with an ancient exiled alien intelligence...we could handle that too. Sounds pretty amazing actually.

Leviathan will be launching on August 28.

Hmmm, I'm interested. It certainly does look like it could be entertaining but is it worth $10?

Reward for leviathan: 50 war asset points... Seriously bioware? I spent a good 20 minutes deciding whether to save the reaper ship or not! I saved it first time thinking Cerberus were gonna unleash that f*#ker on the reapers in a rain of death and fire and all we got were WAR F**KING ASSETS? I didn't care about the ending but the most critical decision of ME 2 just turning out to be meaningless numbers is just an insult...

For me, thats part of the reason the ending was so shitty. All of the decisions you've made ultimately boil down to some arbitrary number that is so disconnected with any real consequence from a narrative standpoint. War assets were one of the worst parts of the game

"Wait you've just been slaving at this level for the last two hours and finally succeed? here have 150 points!" oh and this "You've just played 5 online games, looks like your galatic readiness is full! here why waste 30 more hours collecting assets when you're more than prepared to tackle the last mission already! jk lol we're gonna make you do it anyway" At first I thought assets were brilliant! no more bloody mining but as i progressed I was like "so this group of insignificant scientists are nearly worth the same as the Normandy?" bull piss

One could only wish that Leviathan is Andrew Ryan's Reaper
