This kind of thing upsets me (when a bigger name actor gets the role that a less well known actor would be much better suited for):(

not even nolan north :/ Hoping it would be fillon...

ANGRY! I like Wahlberg and all, especially his more eccentric work on I <3 Huckabees, but I never pictured him (and still can't) as Drake. Fillion all the way. And all this right on the heels of a Joss-less Buffy remake being announced. FUCK!

Uncharted is perfect for a movie. Large memorable set pieces, varied lush environments, great treasure hunts, oh, AND GREAT CHARACTERS! But this obviously changes that last part. Damn. I'm actually really upset about this. I genuinely can't see this being any good now.

Goddammit! De Niro better play Sully and say GODDAMN a lot. As to Fillion's omission cue in Darth Vader's "WHAT?!"
  • ultimatepunchrod - November 24, 2010 7:57 p.m.

jeez this is the most disappointing news ive heard in a while. Fillion is perfect for this role.
  • gamingfreak - November 24, 2010 7:54 p.m.

    Oh, c'mon, for fuck sakes!!!!!!
  • sgloomy - November 24, 2010 7:53 p.m.

not sure how wahlberg can work here, he just doesnt have the personality to pull it off
  • enlargedhousecats - November 24, 2010 7:51 p.m.

but I wanted Nathan Fillion :(
  • SolidLatino83 - November 24, 2010 7:51 p.m.

@ CaptainSpatula Nathan Fillian and Mark Wahlberg are the age actually.
  • thedocument - November 24, 2010 7:50 p.m.

@CaptainSpatula Both Fillion and Wahlberg are the same age.
  • HarryBalls - November 24, 2010 7:48 p.m.

Ugh, for crissakes is Uwe Boll directing?
  • InFeRnOg - November 24, 2010 7:48 p.m.

Nathan Fillion is the ONLY person fit to play Nathan Drake. This film has already failed if they don't re-cast the role of Drake to Fillion. I urge everyone to voice their outrage at this terrible decision. Wahlberg is a fine actor but he is not capable of this role. Only Fillion is able to pull this off.

I mean in all fairness this movie is gonna blow! But they only thing that would have saved it would have been to cast Fillion as Drake, he's the perfect fit, we all knew that. But he's not marketable enough so they went with Marky Mark... cos he has a great track record; Max Payne, The Happening... Planet if the Apes! Say hi to your Mother for me!
  • CaptainSpatula - November 24, 2010 7:45 p.m.

Damn it! I guess Fillion is getting a little too old to play Drake though...Plus I'm kind of excited to see where Whalberg goes with the character
  • crazyW01F - November 24, 2010 7:45 p.m.

Well, another video game movie failure.
  • lovinmyps3 - November 24, 2010 7:45 p.m.

  • iKOemos - November 24, 2010 7:45 p.m.
