Leaked footage for Final Fantasy Versus XIII for the PS3 and Final Fantasy Agito XIII for the PSP have surfaced. The trailer features gameplay from both games, giving you a better idea of what to expect.
Agito's battle system seems similar to Crisis Core: Final Fantasy. But with such quick cuts, it's tough to tell much else.
You'll also get a brief glimpse of combat in Final Fantasy Versus XIII as well as a bunch of shots of the main character running through the game's world. In an interview with Dengeki PlayStation, game director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that Final Fantasy Versus XIII’s battle system will be based on the Kingdom Hearts series, adding that side characters will be playable, too.
Speaking to CVG, Final Fantasy Verus XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase said that development was ‘progressing well.’ “[FF Verus XIII] is taking some time, but development is progressing well. We plan on showing it at the appropriate time. We have the FF XIII localization and FF XIV, so I believe it will come after that.”
Since the standard edition of Final Fantasy XIV Online launched on September 30, we hope that means we’ll be hearing more about Versus XIII and Agito XIII soon.
