Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom - Monsterama, part 2

We never would have thought it would be possible to look like a badass while riding a unicycle with a birdcage on your head, but Loki pulls it off in grand style, and for that we salute him. An intimidating horror, Loki rules the Hall of Arrogance and tries to act all dignified and noble when he's rolling in his absurdly beefy armor.

Above: See that electricity crackle on his shoulder spikes? Yeah, you'll want to avoid that

Rumor has it Loki's just a puppet controlled by some other being, but rest assured that doesn't make him any less deadly. He's tough when he's in his heavy armor, but breaking it apart doesn't so much weaken him as it does free him to be even more dangerous. His real power is in controlling lightning - when you see a small storm massing above him, it's a good idea to hide behind a friend (preferably one you don't like too much). If it looks big, though, get ready to run for your life.

After graduating from college in 2000 with a BA in journalism, I worked for five years as a copy editor, page designer and videogame-review columnist at a couple of mid-sized newspapers you've never heard of. My column eventually got me a freelancing gig with GMR magazine, which folded a few months later. I was hired on full-time by GamesRadar in late 2005, and have since been paid actual money to write silly articles about lovable blobs.
