How fast can you die in... Far Cry 3?

Far Cry 3 is a very perilous game. Beautiful, yes, but undoubtedly perilous. More perilous, in fact, than a perilously-placed peril atop a rickety pile of perilous plates. You get the idea. So surely, surely we're looking at one of the swiftest Game Over screens in our HFCYDI series yet? Unless Vaas can literally talk himself out of the win. Sure, it's great to see such well-acted dialogue scenes in a game, but they do make those all-important seconds tick by...

So kick back and hit 'Play'. It's time to find out the answer to the all-important question of the moment: How fast can you die in the PS3 version of Far Cry 3?

Platinumed Far Cry. Amazing environment the only downside is that Vaas show have been the villian the entire way through. Liking the spin, if you will on the "how fast" funky and cool

Getting the video to pause when the tiny bits of text pop up is like a game in itself. Turtle Power!

I think these "How fast can you die in ____" features are pretty fun, but it seems like it would make a lot more sense (and be a lot less boring) if you started the clock from the time the game actually begins...as in when you're first given control of your character. Starting the clock during the intro cut scene totally screws this whole thing up. If a cut scene is 60 seconds long, but it only takes 10 seconds to die once you're in game...well now it's 70 seconds and that's not actually how long it took to die...it's mostly how long it took to get through an unskippable cut scene (Note to Devs: Unskippable cut scenes SUCK). Taking the cut scene out of this equation will remove it as a variable and give the times more actual meaning. It would also mean us viewers wouldn't have to sit through a boring cut scene that we've probably watched already.

Perhaps I'm being too subtle with the inserts...

OMG that stupid montage was so long and boring. Seriously, that montage should have killed Jason Brody because it did such a good job of killing our interest.

    Even Rocky had a montage...
