Get 8 EA games for charity in the Humble Origin Bundle

Electronic Arts might not strike you as the humble type, but the publisher's eight-PC-game pay-what-you-want Humble Origin Bundle may be the humblest of them all; EA isn't taking any cash from the pack, and is instead allocating its share to the pledger's choice of five charities.

Usually supporting the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society would earn a fuzzy feeling and maybe a letter on some nice stationery. If you beat the average price (currently holding at about $4.60), it will also get you Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 plus its starter pack. Anything above $1 will get you Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, Crysis 2 Maximum Edition, Dead Space, Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor, and Mirror's Edge.

You don't even have to play all the Humble Origin Bundle's games on Origin: all but Battlefield 3, Dead Space 3, and The Sims 3 also come with Steam keys. The sale will go on until August 28.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
