Hey guys, I'm one of the developers at Epicenter making Rock of the Dead. First of all, we're a small independent studio, so getting coverage is certainly nice. Second of all, ouch! But it's cool, we can laugh about it too. We don't have the crazy resources to put together a trailer like Ubisoft's, so at least you're making fun of something that cost us very little. But yeah, I'm glad I saw this. I hadn't realized the trailer focused so much on the non-zombie aspects of the game (it's a campy sci-fi/horror story that starts in a trailer park, ends up in outer space). Next trailer, we'll focus on the horror elements. Anyway, I got a laugh out of this, but I do hope you guys give our game a chance. What it lacks in looks (we just don't have the resources to make a Gears of War), it absolutely makes up for in fun. And really, at the end of the day, isn't "fun" why we play games? Thanks guys! bryan

Wait a picosecond. How the Devil's shoulder angel is showing Little Big Planet and several games only a small child would think are 'mature' proof that motion controlled gaming isn't just for kids? Showing nursing home Wii bowling leagues on the evening news already did that, thank you very much, Butler.

LOL that kung fu rider game looks ridiculous....I kinda want it.
  • batmanboy11 - September 10, 2010 8:18 p.m.

"sigh"... rock of the dead? REALLY?! i mean, that game could have gone SO many awesome ways, but no. you can't even see the game you're playing! GAWD! kung fu rider is just zany enough to maybe be fun. does anyone actually use the word zany?... wacky. good triple T you guys.

I own a PS3 and I love it, but Sony's recent advertising campaigns are embarrasing. When that Kung Fu Riders game comes out, bored office workers all over the globe will be imitating it. Be extra careful crossing the road from now on!

Another great episode of Trailer Trash Theatre. By the way, who buy's games this shitty that they feel the need to keep making them? I mean, Raving Rabbids were barely relevant when I was 10 and that was 12 years ago. And those freakin Move games, I saw some of them at PAX and they look god awful. They haven't even bothered naming them. It's just "Shoot" and "Fight". I mean if the game's not worth them taking the time to name then why do they expect us to take the time to play it? And before any PS3 fanboys get on my case and call me a 360 fanboy let me make one thing clear, the software on the Kinect isn't really any better.

I think I'm starting to see more and more that the best way to make a horrible game is to tack on motion controls. I was so excited when the Wii came out and I am just so jaded, now. Hopefully with the next console generation we can go back to normal games... Great Trailer Trash, though. Thanks for entertaining!
  • Bobbety - September 9, 2010 10:40 p.m.

    Punchout!! reference!
  • ventanger - September 9, 2010 10:07 p.m.

Ugh that last ad with Kevin Butler... there's a line between hyping up a product, and presenting it as such an epic masterpiece that it just shows how NOT groundbreaking it actually is.
