I give microsoft credit, they have gotten a lot better with the games they are offering. I have been able to download some great games I normally wouldn't buy. I would still prefer to pick 2 games from a list of say 10 choices, simply bc there are months that I just have no intrest in the games they offer. For example when it was magic the gathering and rainbow six Vegas. But overall no real complaints

Motocross. Madness. Are you freaking kidding me?
  • Shigeruken - July 29, 2014 1:17 a.m.

Strike Suit Zero is awesome, but I couldn't care less about any of the other offerings.
  • rmryan775 - July 2, 2014 6:29 a.m.

Well then the One should get just as many games as the 360. Not these lame games like Max....starting to believe the One was a bad investment.
  • Balaska - July 29, 2014 12:52 a.m.

Max is actually a good game, did you even play it? You pay your subs for the multiplayer servers Xbox Live multiplayer has always been the market leader in stability and speed. You are getting stuff for free, try not to complain.
  • ZBmo210 - October 2, 2014 5 a.m.

Be glad they are even giving games free! It's microsoft. Even Microsoft word you have to buy, but you complain when they give out free $15 - $30 every month? One wasnt released all that long ago, so the Big Name games are JUST getting released, meaning you wont be finding any free... Most of the games they give on the 360 are YEARS old. They would lose way to much money giving out the big name games on xbox one currently. If you have such a problem with the game selections then dont get them. Everyone should be happy for the free money Microsoft is giving back. You basically earn back all the money you paid for Xbox Gold every 2-3 months.

Here's my take on Games for Gold
  • TylerYatesHere - June 27, 2014 12:09 p.m.

2 Free games a month? Spartan Assault and Max:CoB = June According to OXM, Max:Cob and Guacamelee = July We're missing a game, and I don't think I've even seen Gucamelee on the UK game store, which would mean we're not getting the service we pay for!
  • SpadesSlick - June 28, 2014 12:14 a.m.

You don't see Gucamelee because it isn't even out yet for the One. We are getting it free upon its release. Also Max is being recycled this month because they can't give out two per right now.
  • Balaska - July 29, 2014 12:52 a.m.

Guacamelee is there right now and I have been playing it.

Generally speaking, Dark Souls has put me through a Loop already, but it's lovable. I'm rushing through it after several struggles when others say they've had troubles at higher levels. With all due honesty, though, I'd love to see some blast from the past games in July. For the RPG fans, Games like Tenchu Z, BlazBlue Calamity Trigger, and Star Ocean: The Last Hope. For the FPS fans, Call Of Duty: Black Ops, The Orange Box (Which ultimately, contains FIVE games, including the ever-popular FPS TF2. A nice addition indeed...) and Gears of War. (Though it's mostly Third Person.) And for those Miscellaneous lovers, Catherine, GTA IV, and Sonic The Hedgehog. Don't get me wrong. I don't know the availability of some of these as possible Games with Gold Appearances, and I know that only two or so would be chosen but... I know there are games out there that haven't seen much light of day with all the newer titles out and about, so I feel it only fair to suggest these games for the wonderful experiences they've given their players, out of respect.
  • Engel - June 14, 2014 4:52 p.m.

GTA IV is on sale for around $5.00 right now... that's probably the best it's going to get for that particular game.
  • RoxasTheEpic - June 15, 2014 3:22 p.m.

Truth be told I already had it, however I know that others would like to play it, having GTA V just come out, who wouldn't want to play the game before it, albeit if the games rarely had any story-based connection, aside from GTA III, GTA: SA, and GTA: VC. However, I know most of these games aren't THAT old, aside from Tenchu, however I know that a great deal of them are no longer in stores, and have been out of them for months so... Just my opinion, though.

I think any good racing game would make most people happy but I never see anyone post them
  • talleyXIV - May 27, 2014 2:25 p.m.

Dark Souls is a nice giveaway!
  • kickapoo5 - May 27, 2014 2:56 a.m.

I think they should release the first bioshock on games for gold, I haven't played it and I really want to, I know it's got solid ratings and was very popular at it's time. I'd be most happy for them to have that next.
  • iCaptureTheFrag - May 28, 2014 7 p.m.

Definitely! Even though I already played and beat the game quite a few games, I wouldn't mind going through it all again. Plus, it's a game that everybody should play at least once.
  • michael-mcfarland - May 24, 2014 5:11 p.m.

i think the should giveaway a need for speed or cod game
  • ShaneDMcDonie - May 23, 2014 10:53 p.m.

I keep thinking about getting Max, wish the 360's version was free, but eh whatever. I can't wait for SSF4AE, and Charlie Murder sounds nice
  • Shigeruken - May 25, 2014 9:44 p.m.

Don't forget that you can use the xbox site to add the free X1 version to your account so you'll have it if you get the new console.
