First Skyrim Dawnguard DLC trailer confirms you'll only be getting a TV tan this summer

Dawnguard, the first official add-on DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is coming to Xbox 360 this summer. The downloadable content will cost 1600 MS Points and will remain 360-exclusive for 30 days before making the leap to PS3 and PC. What's that? You want to see the trailer? Well, if you insist...

The trailer shows some beautifully gothic settings and creepy graveyards, crawling with all manner of supernatural creatures of the night. Best thing? Sounds like you'll actually get to be one of those creatures. With wings and everything. Alternatively, there's the eponymous Dawnguard, which will see you fight them off... and probably use their wings to decorate your house in Whiterun.

Needless to say, we're extremely excited about this - expect to see more of the add-on next week at E3.

Is it just me, or do the vampire-y things look a lot like the ones out of the Hugh Jackman 'Van Helsing' film? Anyway, people've said it before, but the coolest part of that trailer has GOT to be the Darksiders style flaming horse. That's awesome. I mean, the undead class thing could be pretty cool, like a version of being a vampire that didn't suck, but I get the feeling the flight controls would be really... Crap.

Here's hoping it's as thorough an expansion as the shivering isles was

I want that skeleton horse! I want that skeleton horse! I want that skeleton horse! Plus, it looks like they're patching in the mounted combat that the PC version is getting, which is awesome.

Looks very Halloween themed... maybe it would have been appropriate to release it in October instead of warm sunny summer? Nevertheless this looks damn awesome and I can't wait to get stuck in with my 5 beloved Skyrim characters. Y'know, after Bethesda patches it so it works. *troll face*

Amazing, to think they took the vampire form from the gamejam and made a DLC about it just makes me wonder what the inevitable dragon mounts is going to come with.

Is that a Wildhearts reference in the title? I surely hope so. Also, more Skyrim, whooo! Please don't be broken.

Anyone have any theories as to what the Dawnguard could POSSIBLY offer up that even compares to the things the Vampires can? I mean seriously, the things I saw the player do in that video as a vampire - pure gaming beauty.

Looks really good. Between the gameplay additions and the intriguing storyline I'm super pumped for this. Hopefully they'll add some interesting new areas to explore and not just new locations within the map as it is already.

Looks solid. I like the addition of crossbows, and the new set of powers as a Vapire Lord (or something along those lines) looks awesome. I hope it will be as full of content as it seems.

Is it just me, or did the ending of that make it sound like you could forever get rid of (or at least diminish) the sun if you finished the quests on the vampires side?

it's just you. you seem to lack the ability to understand hyperbole.

Bad ass. So its Vampires vs. Vampire Hunters and you get to choose your side? Bloody brilliant!

Never has a game footage literally made my jaw drop. Thank God for Bethesda.

Man, the vampires in this game look like Haemonculi from 40K. That be crazy... just like this trailer! Looks like I'll have to get the dust off my Dark Elf Battle Mage and tear into some nightly ghouls.
