sadly, if it actually worked i would have bought in a heart beat before nintendo could have it taken down...

Nintendo should look at this as a possible thing, since I think handheld game consoles are dying out anyways, why not just release classic games as apps?
  • Fluffdaddy - February 20, 2012 4:34 p.m.

Yea the 5 million units sold in Japan lets me know this is a totally dying market.
  • xarab4lyfex - February 20, 2012 6:46 p.m.

actually it's sold over 5 million copies faster than any other system in Japan, so I'd think it's the other way around

i think fluffdaddy was being sarcastic. handheld consoles are absolutely not dying, and are just as strong as ever if not more so. the 3ds is literally nintendo's fastest-selling device ever. thinking the handheld market is "dying" is pretty silly. also how many major AAA type titles come out for ios every year? like two? the majority of developers are sticking to consoles for their higher versatility. like, you know, having buttons.

it's their fault for not having a ds

Between the thousands of 1 star reviews, the fact that it clearly isn't affiliated with Nintendo, or the 9.5 MB app size, it's the most obvious scam I've ever seen. Yet it's still at the top of the charts. I swear to god, people are way too gullible.
  • Moondoggie1157 - February 20, 2012 3:51 p.m.

Yea, you'd think the file size might just be a give away... But hey, I don't judge haha.
  • Sinosaur - February 21, 2012 5:37 a.m.

I'm not sure the file size is a giveaway. A game for the original Game Boy? That's not going to really be all that substantial. In fact, if it's 9.5 MB, almost all of that would be the emulator that's running it considering even a big SNES game is under 5 MB.

wait the vita has games? where!? are they in the same place as the ps3 games!?
  • gopikmin - February 21, 2012 12:25 p.m.

right now, Vita's launch looks like 3ds's launch except with cooler-seeming games rather than being mostly casual. Also joeycrump PS3 has plenty of games several of them just not as many as ones that come from Nintendo. UC2 is a prime example though there are many others.
  • joeycrump - February 21, 2012 11:03 p.m.

nah man all the ps3 has is movies heavy rain? movie. mgs4? movie. infamous? movie. uncharted? movie. resistance? movie. LBP and ratchet are pretty much the only games that are exclusive to ps3 HTH
