A separate three player co-op mode to play through in Uncharted 3? Yes, please. As E3 draws in, Sony have delivered some hot news before the show, mainly this brand-new way to play through Uncharted.
Sure it's not everybody's cup of tea, but with this co-op mode being very much in place to compliment the main course that is the solo campaign, Uncharted 3 looks set to be one hell of a package for PS3 owners.
If we're honest, as much as the action in the video above looks slick we can't help but notice the low-res in the visuals. The graphics aren't quite as sexy as we've come to expect from the Uncharted series, but with three-players connecting over the interwebs, we expect something had to give.
Still, the new gameplay mechanics displayed in the trailer shows that Nathan will now be able to shoot vertically as you climb, rather than relying on his trusty pull from a ledge and listen for the scream manoeuvre. There's also a points system in place to keep a competitive streak to the multiplayer side of things, which Tomb Raider: Guardian of Light delivers so well. So headshots and killstreaks will be very much the order of the day.
And if rumours are to be believed then this co-op story will follow the lives of various characters throughout, so expect to be playing as some unfamiliar people as well as Drake and Sully.
We were already hot for Uncharted 3 but with each new droplet of information our temperature rises to sweat-inducing levels. Check back at 6pm GMT for even more Uncharted 3 goodness.
