E3 2011: Dance Central 2 revealed, kicks everyone else off dance floor

Harmonix brought some of their best moves to the Microsoft press conference today with their reveal of Dance Central 2. Touted as the bestselling dance game on the Kinect (and arguably the bestselling game for the peripheral as a whole), features like voice control, a campaign mode and a re-designed Break It Down was announced. All songs from the original Dance Central will be importable in the second totaling over 100 songs at launch for the franchise.

However, the best thing announced was simultaneous multi-player dancing. That’s right, kids, you can finally create the dance duo of your dreams in Dance Central and battle other crews. While a launch date has yet to be announced (the official website says later this year), we can break-in our dancing shoes in anticipation knowing that the following songs will be included:

Rihanna - “Rude Boy”
Nicki Minaj - “Massive Attack”
Montell Jordan - “This Is How We Do It”
La Roux - “Bulletproof”
B.o.B. feat. Bruno Mars - “Nothin’ on You”
Bananarama - “Venus”
Usher - “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love”

You really like Dance Central don't you Cheryll. It looks fun, I would be interested if I had any sort of dancing aptitude and wasn't worried about looking like a fool.

I really have no desire to play this but you can't deny the quality that Harmonix is putting into their DC games.

It kinda sucks that the best game using Kinect so far is a dancing game, but admittedly, its a lot of fun. I'm sure the sequel will continue its dominance as a Kinect game.
