Double Fine developing Stacking DLC

Great news for Double Fine fans and writers with an affinity for cheap 'Soviet Russia' jokes! A recent tweet from THQ has revealed that Double Fine is now developing DLC for its Russian nesting doll adventure, Stacking. In Soviet Russia, article scrolls down you for more information!

Late last week, THQInsider hinted that it had some "very cool top secret things" brewing at THQ UK. Immediately thereafter, it posted a tweet announcing, “We had confirmation today that DLC for Stacking is in development! Look out for more details on this soon :)”

We greatly enjoyed Double Fine's quirky, depression-era puzzler, and given its warm reception amongst the gaming community, it's only natural that Double Fine would support Stacking in much the same fashion it has supported its other well-received downloadable title, Costume Quest.

Earlier this year, THQ's head of core gaming, Danny Bilson, stated that the publisher was very interested in extending its initial four game deal with Double Fine provided that the studio could keep producing hits. Considering this was said before Stacking was even released, it's a good bet that Double Fine and THQ are in for a long and fruitful partnership.

Glad to see Double Fine doing well, Tim Schafer & co make great games, it's kind of sad seeing great titles like Psychonauts not getting the attention it deserves, then people complain about how unoriginal games are and so on.

Nice though i admit only reason i have played this one is because it was free with PS+

When is DLC getting DLC. I'm so sick of all the DLC every game has. It's just so they can push us for more cash.

Price point seems a little high already with it being so short, and now they add DLC?

I give it a go since it was free on PS+ but wasn't keen. I loved Costume Quest but not so much Stacking. Think I need to give it more time really. Playing it felt like some weird cheese dream. I kept wondering who the target audience was. It seems a bit sinister for kids (revolution, slavery) and a bit immature for adults (farts and burping).

Excellent news. My only complaint with Stacking was it being too short, can't wait for more.

This makes 3 amazing games getting DLC soon (AC:Brotherhood, IloMilo, and Stacking). This, combined with Arkham City, Portal 2, and LA Noire, make this one of gaming's best years in recent memory for me. Wow, my reCAPTCHA is really getting long and complex. "estiora G[egonen]" WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!?!

@garrythegeld With titles as good as Stacking, I'm not complaining.

This is getting ridiculous. Even downloadable content is getting DLC.
