Crowd reactions to E3 2010

Sure, you could figure out who won E3 by looking at columns filled with “segmented metrics” and bullshit figures like “purchase intent” and “audience engagement.” But that is only interesting to people who sport pressed collared shirts at work every day. Me, I’m a turtleneck-wearing gams jarnlist, and I don’t give an ass about “data.” For the love of games, I want to hear directly from the people who walked the show floor. Unscientific? Sure, but it’s a hell of a lot more colorful than Suity McNecktie’s pie charts.  So here’s a fine selection of random people we talked to at E3 2010, delivering their raw, unbiased opinions of the show to the all-seeing camera. WARNING: more than one F-bomb is dropped, so guard your freakin’ ears.

The last one at 3:22 where the 3DS women were talking about some guy in a tanktop, Could it be Destructoid's Jonathan Louis?

Tyler, I think this officially makes you my nemesis.
  • Gahmah - June 25, 2010 10:27 p.m.

Bizarre slice of people at E3 it seems. Though the INCREDIBLY NERDY kid next to what I guess was his girlfriend or something was pretty funny. Wasn't expecting the 3ds the girls to be the most coherent people in that clip, but I guess that's why they're paid professionals.

"With our DS 3D." It is effing chained to their waists and they still can't get the name right. But they're right, you never know with E3.

Who was that clot that said that a game was no fun because it didn't have killing? Fuckin' eejit.
  • lovinmyps3 - June 25, 2010 10:17 p.m.

    "Where's Metal Gear!?!?!" Haha!
  • Evil_AppleJuice - June 25, 2010 10:13 p.m.

"my favorite part was the pictures and adventures..." AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Sorry, its was like going to a new Star Wars movie and hearing "wow! thats so cool how they can push people without touching them! how can they do that?"
  • Cyberninja - June 25, 2010 10:07 p.m.

wow no one had anything good to say about sony or microsoft not surprings they both need to step their game up.
  • GamesRadarTylerWilde - June 25, 2010 10:02 p.m.

Many are there because they work for companies relevant to the industry (eg. Gamestop), but aren't journalists or exhibitors. Or they work for exhibitors, and thus can get in, but don't have a role relevant to gaming and are just there to check it out. And some of them have just tagged along with friends by some means.

Who are all these people? How'd they get in? Doesn't seem very exclusive to me.
  • GamesRadarTylerWilde - June 25, 2010 8:52 p.m.

@db1331 Hum, I actually thought the 3DS women were funny and gracious - their jobs don't involve caring about the 3DS, so what? Their friendly sarcasm didn't ring "dumb" to me. But of course, we rarely agree on anything, do we?
  • db1331 - June 25, 2010 7:50 p.m.

Thank goodness the 3DS women are pretty, because holy shit are they dumb. Also, bearded white guy has an awesome accent. P.S.- Does anyone know if the hair-trigger shooting game for the Wii is finally here? I was waiting to hear something about it...
