Borderlands 2 Big Game Hunt DLC out January 15

Borderlands 2's vault hunters will embark on a gentlemanly safari next month in the game's third piece of campaign DLC, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt. The expedition will get underway on January 15 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 players.

Players will visit the lush new continent of Aegrus, meet interesting new people and exotic creatures, and kill them and take their loot. Another new vehicle, which appears to be a swamp-friendly hovercraft, will provide transportation as the hunters face off against a villain who seeks to follow in the path of Handsome Jack (so it sounds like the content will only be accessible after the main campaign is completed.)

Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is available both as part of the Bordlerlands 2 Season Pass and a la carte for $10.

I've yet to play any of the older DLC- I need a much bigger HDD first- but I'm much more interested in the full quest free-roamy kind of thing, like Gen. Knoxx, than the arena style stuff like Underdrome Riot. So, can someone tell me which one the Mr. Torgue DLC was more like? I never did quite get my head around it.

I need this DLC sooner, and judging by what happened with the Mechromancer DLC, we could get it early too. Never know. I just want another reason to get pissed at the game, conquer it and teabag the corpse (Looking at you Badassasaurus Rex, you asshole) Im both afraid and excited by the fact that they say this DLC will be harder than the last 2. Too bad theres no cap increase though :L

This is coming from someone who has leveled up all 5 characters to 50: - The only time multiplayer is seriously needed is if you want to take on the "Raid" bosses (Terramorphous, Hyperious, Gee and Pete). This is especially true with the "nerfing" of "The Bee" amp shield (Prior to the latest patch, it applied Amp damage to ALL projectiles, turning the Bee/Conference Call, Bee/Baby Maker into 1M damage dealers, and you could kill these bosses in about 10 seconds or so. - Normal, pretty much anyone can make it through. TVHM, however, is VERY hard. The difficulty spikes through the roof near the end. I died 30 times in one particular spot. - The Legendary "loot" really is rare. As in, you could play through Normal and TVHM and NEVER see a Legendary, at all. Your "best" chances come from killing one of the raid bosses and/or the "treasure room" in the first DLC. - Neither one of the DLC's live up to GBX's promise that the BL2 DLC's would be on-par "with General Knoxx" from BL1. Not even close. Let's hope 3 & 4 (and the 2nd round of DLC) is better.

What the hell are you talking about? Legendary loot is rare, but not where you never see on both playthroughs. Your problem is that almost all Legedaries have to be farmed from a boss, and even then I got 7+ Legendaries in my 1st playthrough. Also, The only way the DLCs werent on par with Gen Knoxx is that they didnt have a repeatable loot raid. Other than that Capt. Scarlett and Torgue's Campaign were both fantastic.

I do hope they put more effort into developing this one. The PC Version of Mr. Torgue DLC was massively buggy. A ton of environment props were floating everywhere and a ton of holes you can fall through in the world zones. I know Gearbox wants to ride the Borderlands 2 excitement train as fast as possible but they need to slow down on content releases and work on a quality product. I do enjoy the DLC's but I wish they had less issues and had more content.

Interesting that this one is specifically AFTER the game especially considering the last 2 DLC's. Cant wait, i LOVE Borderlands 2, The pirate DLC was alright, although it felt more of a Borderlands 1 DLC, Mr. Torgue though, they got it right again and now with Sir Hammerlock, things are getting once again awesome!

What do you like so much about the game? Do you strictkly play it online or do you play single player? I am playing single player at the moment and im just not getting into it. Dont want to try multi yet cause people are aholes most of the time.

Frankly i never touched Multiplayer, atleast not yet, even the first and i just love the game, what i love about it is the charm, personality and the way guns are classified and gives a real feel of an RPG with all the types of guns, with elements, and each gun manufacturer has a gimmick with each guns, making it very diverse, and the amount of missions. We cant all be the same, hopefully you'll find joy in this game in some form.
