Blizzard Entertainment’s 20th anniversary retrospective

Short film follows the story of one of the greatest game studios of all time

Happy birthday, Blizzard! The studio responsible for stealing all our free time with Warcraft, StarCraft, WoW, and Diablo is now 20 years old. To celebrate its big birthday, Blizzard Entertainment has produced a retrospective that follows the history of the studio from its small beginnings as it grew into one of the most respected and popular developers of PC games in the world.

The documentary paints a picture of a ragtag team of coders and artists started from scratch with founders Mike Morhaime and Frank Pearce. With so many fond memories of Blizzard titles, it’s fascinating to hear intimate and candid stories from the folks who worked on them. There are lots of great anecdotes, behind-the-scenes footage, and embarrassing old photographs of the folks who keep delivering titles that make it great to be a PC gamer.

You can watch the Blizzard Retrospective in full here.
