Blacklight: Retribution and Primal Carnage: Genesis coming to PS4

PlayStation 4's lineup grew by two tonight, with free-to-play shooter Blacklight: Retribution and single-player adventure Primal Carnage: Genesis confirmed for the next-gen system. Sony Computer Entertainment America announced both games at GDC in San Francisco.

Blacklight: Retribution will hit PS4 as the console's first confirmed pub fund title. The same independent publishing deal which brought indie adventure Papo & Yo to PS3 will bring Zombie Studio's near-future competitive shooter over from its PC roots.

On the other railroad-spike-sized talon, Lukewarm Media's Primal Carnage: Genesis will appear as an episodic single-player adventure series, unlike its asymmetrical multiplayer forebear. The first-person game "takes place in a world where dinosaurs have been brought back to life," according to its site. "Explore a mix of tropical and man-made environments that are teeming with prehistoric life, experience the fear of being hunted by long forgotten beasts and join in the survival of the fittest. Dinosaurs are back."

If the next generation means this slump of decent dinosaur games is at an end, we say bring on the future.

    Really? where are you from?

Lol. I meant I haven't seen/played a Dinosaur video game in awhile. Last one I played was Dino Crisis 1, and that was close to 6 years ago. To answer your question, I'm from California, US. lol.

Haha, Dino Crisis was tha shiznit :) I loved the Turok games on N64, and teh Turok reboot was kinda meh, but the d1nosaurs were gud :D -Also, hmm... I thought California was crawling with dinosaurs \(>u<)/ Over here in England, we have a few dragons, a couple of zombie apocalypses in the past, and a Queen, but there's not anything perticulary that interesting going on recently.

Wow this Call of Duty looks even better than the last :D Seriously though, I get the idea that some developers just think that if they go along with the tried and tested 'CoD FPS formulae', their game will be successful. I'm not interested in the next Call of Battlefield: Modern Honor Black-Assault 3 xD +OMG DINOSAAAAUUUUURRRRSSSSS!!!!!!!

Retribution : so I hear you like the sound of guns...pshpshpshPSHPSHPSH-THKTHKTHKTHKTHK Just holy shit at the mediocrity of that trailer. I feel like I saw the same 1.5 second shot about 16 times. But I liked the primal carnage trailer, the t-rex was actually kind of funny. On a side note though, those scientists are pretty stupid to build an enclosure around something that can easily break the enclosure.
