Black Ops 2 "Hardened" and "Care Package" special editions detailed by Activision

Activision announced today that (total shocker) they're going to be offering a couple tiers of pre-order options for their most hardcore fans. For those eagerly awaiting the launch of Black Ops 2, you'll now have three options to choose from when laying down your cash for the gaming event of the season.

First off, you could always just go to GameStop and put down your cash for the base game. But that's so vanilla. So boring. If you shell out an extra $20 (total: $79.99) then you can get the Hardened Edition which includes a Steelbook case, "challenge coins", soundtrack, and DLC. All of which comes in a cool package that looks like it came from space.

The mega edition will be known as the "Care Package" edition, and it includes a huge case of items. The Care Package comes with all the items in the Hardened Edition plus an actual, working quadrocopter drone inside a pretty amazing-looking tool box. All of which will run you $179.99.

Can't wait! No second chance! I love these games, mostly the guns. I just got a M4 like in the game and they have a bunch of other guns from different games.

FAIL! At least until Airsplat releases a working HL2 Zero Point Energy gun.

Even though I'm unsure if I'll be getting BO2 right now, if I do, I think the Hardened Edition is looking pretty good (I already bought the Hardened Edition for the first Black Ops on launch so it'll be pretty normal of me).

I think not including an elite subscription is a big mistake. I was going to buy the hardened edition for elite, but now I'll probably only get the normal edition and let my elite run out. I think a lot of other people will be doing this as well.

Without an Elite subscription, the price point of the Care Package is way too high.

Without elite? So before elite was a thing, did you get the prestege editions of Blops and MW2...cause all they had was an R/C car and a pair nightvision goggles...and books. About $30 more is about right. You're getting DLC, a soundtrack (which if it's anything like Blops zombie music will be worth it), an R/C thing, and a theme. all around in order. $10(DLC, when relesed to the pub.), free-$5(soundtrack), $15-$20(R/C thing),$1-$2(theme)....Elite if anything is a scam IMO, this crap has already been done many times for free. I would understand like $30 but not the price of a game for a couple maps every 2 months. p.s. sorry for the wall.
