Batman: Arkham sequel/spin-off teased in after-credits scene of Arkham Origins

The Batman: Arkham series of games are famous for their Easter Eggs, nods, references, winks, and--occasionally--teases. The original game included a secret area which revealed plans for Arkham City, and as we all know, that tease came to fruition just two years later. While we don’t know what the future of Batman games will look like after this next batch of Dark Knight games, Batman: Arkham Origins sheds a little light with a hint to a future sequel or spin-off.

Spoilers, obviously, for those who’d rather discover this on their own (though no real spoilers about Arkham Origins itself).

After the credits roll on Batman: Arkham Origins, a shot of Deathstroke doing push-ups in prison is shown. Government agent Amanda Waller approaches with a folder and tosses it into the cell with him, offering him a chance to get out of jail. He asks what happens if he declines, and she tells him that he’ll just rot in Blackgate. He looks at the folder, and "Suicide Squad” is written across the top.

This lines up with reports from February, where DC Entertainment's Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns said that a Suicide Squad game was in development, though nothing has come of it since then. Johns stated he was really super excited about the project, “because of the concept, you have a game where any of the lead characters can conceivably die and it's not a stunt. Some really cool story could come out of that."

For those who don’t know, the Suicide Squad is a group of super villains working for the US Government on high-risk missions in order to get out of jail time. Think of it like the Dirty Dozen, except with people like Bulldozer, Deadshot, Killer Frost, and--apparently--Deathstroke (who never actually appeared as part of the team in the comics).

So, could this be the mystery game that Rocksteady has been toiling away on for two years, or is it something else filling the gap until the developer’s next-gen title is ready?

Now that it's off the main page I can squee, with some slight spoiler censorship for anyone searching through the pages - that was the same famous actor who played that character in the Animated Series!

I just gotta love the people complaining about the lack of a spoiler warning despite the title of the article and the giant-ass orange spoiler warning at the top of the article.

I think that the reason they're complaining is because the title of the article gives away a part of the game. Even though it's not directly related to the story it's still something that some people enjoy finding out for themselves

You know there's no reason to tell us spoiler when its ON THE TITLE

Please put a spoiler warning in the title, I understand that this isn't directly related to the main plot but it should remain as a surprise for people who are going to play the game.
