Assassin's Creed: Revelations multiplayer beta is PS3 exclusive, starts September 3

Ubisoft is giving PlayStation Plus and Uplay members an exclusive first taste of the Assassin's Creed Revelations multiplayer beta. The trial event is set to run September 3rd to 11th, and similar to last year's Assassin's Creed Brotherhood beta, the sneak peak will be for PS3-eyes only.

The beta will sport three maps - Antioch, Constantinople, and Knight's Hospital - in which players will be able to play four different modes including the new Deathmatch and Artifact Assault modes, and two carry-overs from the last chapter, Wanted and Manhunt.

Much like before, Assassin's Creed Revelation's multiplayer campaign follows shady Abstergo agents as they run, jump and stab their way up the ranks while gleaning more about the people, places and histories they inhabit. This time around, however, players will learn more about the First Civilization and the origins of Abstergo, while also enjoying a deeper story, enhanced levelling system, and fancy new abilities. Find out what to expect when you strap into the Animus with our preview.

In addition to giving PS3 players something special (and potentially pissing off Xbox 360 owners in the process), Ubisoft also released its Assassin's Creed Universe video which offers a run down of the Assassin's Creed story so far.

Assassin's Creed Revelations is scheduled to drop from ledges and choke out PS3s, Xbox 360s and PCs on November 15th.

So after pre-ordering each collection edition, going to the midnight release of each one and finding every flag or feather in each SP, dealing with quite awful leveling system, buying every DLC on day one and being a UPlay member since they started it up you keep the beta exclusively for PS3 owners. Fuck that I'm cancelling my pre-order.

It's a pity it's only for PS3 users. But as I am one of those, it makes me excited.

Does that mean UPlay members will get the beta the same time as PSPlus members?

@Yarnboy, Embers will released separately after the games official release, or you will get it as a pre-order bonus.

yea suck it x box!......actually i do like the x-box just not as much as ps. let us all have a moment of silence for all the 360 owners out there.

Just PS3? Sadface... For something on both consoles, you think they'd test both to make sure it works but this is probably more to hype up PS3 owners to buy I guess. I can agree with it, still sucks for me though.

I don't like the idea of story content only being offered in multiplayer, a mode I doubt I will play. I hope that whatever story is told will spill over into the SP campaign.

As someone who owns a PS3, but is not a PS+ member, I am saddened that I apparently won't be able to do this one. Guaranteed to be amazing, so I'll still buy it regardless. And besides, that ridiculous ending of Brotherhood has forced me to buy this one just to know what the fuck happens. Lol

YES! I am a Uplay member!

    Am I missing embers somewhere?

I will miss out but at least it is a short wait.
