Amy Adams talks Lois Lane

Amy Adams’ Lois Lane joins Henry Cavill’s Superman on the cover of Total Film magazine issue 205.

The film looks set to mount an epic reboot of the comic-book mythos, by putting the iconic hero into a real-world setting, in an attempt to make the indestructible alien more relatable and human .

Inside the issue (which is available for just £1.99 on your iPad) , you can read our extensive coverage of superhero epic Man Of Steel , including our chat with Lois herself, Amy Adams.

Here’s a sneak peek at what she had to say…

What did you most want to convey with your version of Lois?

“I wanted her to be a woman other women could relate to. And not be sort of a pest. Lois can be kind of omnipresent, turning up at very inconvenient times - which she does! - but you understand her reasons.”

You’ve been in the running before…

“When J.J. Abrams and Brett Ratner were planning a version, I actually did a screen test with Matt Bomer. And then when Superman Returns came round I read again. So this was my third go at it.”

Man Of Steel opens in the UK on 14 June 2013.
