She might have wowed us all with her stunt prowess in Kill Bill (where she doubled Uma Thurman) and Grindhouse chunk Death Proof (playing herself and enjoying a spot of car-surfing), but stuntwoman/actress Zoe Bell is about to take on her biggest challenge yet.
Senator Entertainment has just offered her the lead role in an untitled action adventure that will find her as a soldier returning home from Iraq without a sense of purpose who finds one when she helps a girl in trouble. “This film is a big challenge for me, especially the American accent, which I have to work on," she gushed to The Hollywood Reporter . "But one thing is certain: I will be doing all my own stunts on the film."
That sound you hear is the film’s insurance agent falling dead from a heart attack.
Senator’s Marco Weber has much more faith in her (and a stronger heart, clearly): "When I saw Zoe in Death Proof, I was immediately drawn to her ability and acting talent," Weber told the trade mag. "Her background and likeability made her a perfect choice for our lead." He’s currently looking for a director to bring to life Sarah Thorpe’s script.
