You can now play Resident Evil HD with PS1 character models for... some reason

We've already had someone mod the original crappy acting back into Resident Evil Remastered, now another fan is remaking all the old PS1 characters models. That means you'll soon be able to play the new HD version of the original Resi as it was originally released... wait, what?

Okay, it doesn't really make that much sense but it looks kinda cool:

It's the work of ZombieAli who say they were inspired by the voices mod to port over all the original characters as well. At the moment it's only the main cast, a zombie and the Tyrant but ZombieAli is promising to work on more characters and enemies. Yawn is currrently in the pipeline for example:
