Looks like Uncharted 4 will get a free multiplayer beta this weekend

Update: It's official, Uncharted 4 will get a free stress test this weekend. You won't even need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play.

Original story: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will get an open beta on PS4 this weekend, according to listings on the PlayStation Store. Here's an image from a Twitter user who managed to snag the client:

Depending on your region, you may still be able to grab the beta. I couldn't find any mention of it on the US PlayStation Store, though GR+'s own Louise Blaine snapped this screenshot from the UK store that shows a link to the Uncharted 4 Multiplayer Open Weekend product page. The page itself is no longer available, but it's further evidence that Sony just hit "go" a little too early and we'll likely hear more very soon.

NeoGAF user zsynqx quoted the product listing, saying that the open beta will let players try out team deathmatch on three maps. Assuming it includes Island and Madagascar City, which were previously featured in the closed beta, that's still one more new map. It doesn't look like you'll need to buy Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection or pre-order Uncharted 4 to participate this weekend; you'll just need to download the beta whenever Sony makes it available again (and probably have an active PlayStation Plus subscription).
