New GTA 5 patch breaks mods: wave goodbye to the cow for now

Beware. If you’ve been enjoying the chaotic delights of Alexander Blade’s Script Hook and all the best GTA 5 PC mods it's spawned, the new 350.1 GTA 5 patch renders it useless.

If you want to keep playing the modded version then you’ll need an earlier version of the game. If you can stop GTA 5 from updating then that’s your best bet but it’s also possible to download older files. Just like the mods themselves, this is obviously at your own risk.

Players of GTA Online have been reporting loading issues and matchmaking problems so hopefully this patch will iron out these problems. There's also the fact that all mods have also been working in GTA Online, making cheating rife and normal players being attacked by those who have decided to try life as a mountain lion or chimp.

The modding community is hard at work trying to find a fix - or is that a break? - so it might not be too long before chaos reigns once again.
