New details for Nick Frost's Cuban Fury

Cuban Fury , the upcoming salsa-dancing comedy starring Nick Frost, has released a new synopsis, as well as bagging Social Network star Rashida Jones as part of the supporting cast.

"Beneath Bruce Garrett's shabby, overweight exterior," begins the plot summary, "the passionate beating heart of a salsa king lays dormant. Only one woman can reignite his Latin fire. Spotlight hits, sweat drips, heels click - Nick Frost IS Cuban Fury."

Not a bad sell, is it? Meanwhile, Frost has also had his say on the movie, explaining what made him come up with the idea in the first place.

"My aim with Cuban Fury was to make a romantic comedy with fiery salsa at its heart," says Frost. "I wanted to show people that sometimes it's not about a perfect nose and abs of steel, sometimes passion, soul and fire is enough. And in case you're wondering, yes, I'll do all my own dancing."

Jones will play Bruce's hot American boss, Julia, who gives our hero reason to pull himself out of his slumber and chase his dreams. Sadly for Bruce, his womanising co-worker Drew (Chris O'Dowd) also has one eye on Julia, whom he plans to get "all up inside". Lovely.

Olivia Colman will also appear as Bruce's sister Sam, while first-time helmer James Griffiths will be in the director's chair. The film is expected to arrive in UK cinemas around this time next year, with a specific release date to follow. Be prepared though… Nick Frost is bringing sexy back.
