Lego Lord of the Rings minikit guide

Taming Gollum [1-5]

Getting the Carrot Bow: You’ll need the Carrot Bow for a few minikits, and the blacksmith recipe is in this level. As you ascend the snowy tower, you’ll spot some arrow slits. Shoot them to create poles, then use Legolas to launch your way up to a small dark opening. Switch to Frodo and use the Glowing Phial to find the Carrot Bow blacksmith recipe. Take this to the blacksmith in Bree in the game’s overworld to synthesize the Carrot Bow.

Minikit #1: Near the beginning of the level you’ll come across some frozen blocks. Strike them loose, and they’ll be movable via Gandalf’s magic. The trick here is that you have to align the blocks exactly like the diagram on the wall. Do this, and a minikit will appear.

Minikit #2: Immediately after Gandalf’s blocks is a pair of Mithril boulders. Use the Berserker’s bombs to destroy them and open the hatch they were guarding. Go through the hatch with a little character to find a minikit on a secluded ledge.

Minikit #3: Continue up the tower until you see a Morgul gate. Smash through with Aragorn’s sword to find a patch of soil. Use Sam’s spade to create a bouncy flower, allowing you to reach a minikit.

Minikit #4: During the section where you collect fish, there will be four large monster skeletons on the ground. Destroy them all to get a minikit. They are all in plain sight, so just attack one whenever you see it.

Minikit #5: Just past where you get the third fish is a hook block. Use Sam’s rope to yank it away, revealing a minikit.
