LEGO City: Undercover trailer is laugh-out-loud funny

LEGO City: Undercover was detailed in yesterday's Nintendo Direct (complete with an adorable LEGO version of Satoru Iwata), but a full-length trailer for the game has now been released. And it's a cracker. Showing plenty of gameplay, it's clear to see the GTA-esque elements like the helicopter-flying and driving around the city. It's also looking a lot slicker than it has been in previous clips, boding well for the quality of the finished title.

There are also some movie references in there, which are almost certain to be lost on most of the game's target audience, but they made us laugh out loud. That's a mighty fine Morgan Freeman soundalike. Combining the familiar and well-polished LEGO gameplay with a new open world design should make this a strong Wii U title to look forward to. It's due out early next year.
