Preorder bonuses these days usually exist in the digital world, normally encompassing character skins, exclusive multiplayer maps, and golden weapons. Lately, getting something extra that exists in the real world when you put money down for a game is pretty rare, and when it happens it’s worth noting. That’s why we took notice of Gamestop’s offer of an adorable Tanooki Mario keychain for preordering Super Mario 3D Land (we’re still getting used to that name).
Though Gamestop has its detractors, you can’t deny that the keychain looks cute, even if it just looks like a cut-out of some official art for the game. The preorder bonus is available for online customers as well as to in-store buyers, so if you’d rather avoid a pushy cashier telling you to preorder 50 other games, you have that digital option. Supplies on the keychain are limited, and obviously you have to put your money down before Super Mario 3D Land hits stores November 13.
