Brilliant new trailer for Only God Forgives arrives online: watch now

Only God Forgives has released a brand new trailer online, in which Ryan Gosling’s boxing club owner sets about looking for a fight.

Gosling plays Julian, a US ex-pat living in Bangkok who runs the family drug-running operation out of said club. A stressful enough business, made worse by the murder of his brother and the arrival of his overbearing mother.

The new trailer is as stylish as they come, all glimmering neon, blood-red corridors and Gosling himself, sporting a range of sharp suits and grubby t-shirts.

Whether this one turns out to be a case of style over substance remains to be seen, but chances are we’ll be too dazzled by the cool-factor to resist its sleazy charms.

Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, and co-starring Kristin Scott Thomas, Only God Forgives will open in the US on 19 July 2013, with a UK date to be confirmed.
