Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s Vengeance DLC will be released on PC and PS3 on August 1, Activision has confirmed. The game’s third add-on pack, which debuted on Xbox 360 on July 2, offers four new multiplayer maps and a fresh Zombies level called Buried, which sees players facing off against the undead residents of an abandoned subterranean Old West mining town. It also introduces a new weapon, the Ray Gun Mark II, which becomes available in all other Black Ops 2 Zombies arenas once Vengeance is purchased (check out our Buried guide & walkthrough).
Set on a picturesque island in the Indian Ocean, multiplayer map Cove plays home to the wreckage of a crashed jet and is marked by canyons surrounding a heavily contested central battlefield. Detour takes place on a destroyed suspension bridge above an East Coast waterway, Rush offers frantic close-quarters engagements in a paintball course turned combat arena, while Uplink is an adaptation of the original Black Ops’ popular Summit map. It’s still located on a mountaintop facility, but switches the original’s snow-covered daytime setting for a rain-soaked night one.
