Become A Part Of The Kick-Ass Universe

Seriously, though, these charity auctions Millar runs are brilliant way of raising money for worthy causes (and all legal problems could presumably be sorted with the addition of a middle initial). As Millar reminds us, “We started a bunch of charity auctions with Kick-Ass and Dave Lizewski was named after the winner.

“This charity auction paid for a sound garden in a special needs school. Subsequent auctions for Superior , The Secret Service , Supercrooks and Jupiter's Legacy have paid for all the kids at my old primary school to go to a pantomime (including their transport), bought new computers for the school, paid for a theatre group to come and visit and, more recently, refurbished the entire library for my old school and another one nearby. The Nemesis auction alone raised around $20,000 and went towards half of a big, special needs bus for the school where one of my brothers is a teacher. Note: This is nothing to do with me and all down to the generosity of the readers who have come forward and donated money, having a little fun as a hero or a villain is named after them.”

He goes on to explain the characters who need christening for Kick-Ass 3 : “This is the final volume of the series and we're auctioning off TWO big characters... one a big rival for Kick-Ass and the other one the most important new hero in the upcoming issues. The ebay link just went live and you can find the links below. The auction close in three days time and I'd love to get our biggest one yet here.”
