Avengers: Infinity War casting call reveals Captain Marvel debut, lots of Guardians, but NO Spidey

Rumours have been flying about just who is in Avengers: Infinity War and its unnamed sequel – but a recent casting call might have revealed who is and isn’t appearing in the third Avengers movie. Get ready for some shocks as Marvel are really throwing down the gauntlet.

Movie Casting Call has a list of actors scheduled to film both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, which they’re filming together. But take it with a grain of salt; there’s been no official word from Marvel. Yet.

Let’s get the big names out of the way… Take a deep breath: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye are all returning. So is Bucky, Nick Fury and the Big Bad Thanos.

Infinity Stone-wielding (uh, embedded) Vision is also back, along with Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man and Black Panther, having all crossed paths in Captain America: Civil War

Now, on to the juicy stuff…

The Guardians of the Galaxy will, according to the call sheet, all be appearing in Avengers: Infinity War, as will Karen Gillan’s Nebula. So we might finally be getting that Groot/Hulk team-up. Stephen Strange looks like he’ll be rocking up at some point too.

If a Guardians/Avengers crossover wasn’t enough, then we could also be seeing Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel hit the big screen for the first time. Larson, confirmed as Captain Marvel earlier this year, will be starring in her own movie in 2019, a year after Infinity War’s release but Marvel loves teasing fans with early superhero appearances. See: Spider-Man in Civil War.

Talking of the webhead, there’s one big name missing. Yup. No Spidey. Fingers and webbed toes crossed that he’s only missing out on Avengers: Infinity War and he’ll be swinging back into action for Avengers 4.

Avengers: Infinity War (starring pretty much everyone) is scheduled for release on May 4, 2018
