jOBS , the typographically irregular biopic that stars Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs has unveiled a first image (via Variety ).
If there was ever any doubt (and c'mon, there wasn’t), the first official shot proves that Kutcher is a spot-on match for the young Jobs, looks-wise.
What’s less certain is whether Kutcher will have the dramatic chops to carry a performance that’ll be so closely scrutinised, but if he does pull it off, it’ll be a surefire gamechanger for him.
Beating the rival Aaron Sorkin-scripted Steve Jobs movie (based on the official biography by Walter Isaacson) into completion by a comfortable margin (Sorkin’s still working on the screenplay, and there are currently no stars or directors attached), jOBS will premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, alongside a host of hot-ticket debuts.

Lovelace / USA (Directors: Rob Epstein, Jeffrey Friedman, Screenwriter: Andy Bellin) - Deep Throat , the first pornographic feature film to be a mainstream success, was an international sensation in 1972 and made its star, Linda Lovelace, a media darling. The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman / USA (Director: Fredrik Bond, Screenwriter: Matt Drake) - Traveling abroad, Charlie Countryman falls for Gabi, a Romanian beauty whose unreachable heart has its origins in Nigel, her violent, charismatic ex.
