The Hunger Games star's finest moments

Laying down the Law

Laying down the Law

It goes without saying that we love Jennifer Lawrence here at Total Film. To pinch a buzz-phrase from The Apprentice, her "skill set" is formidable she can make you openly weep on command (Winter's Bone), laugh out loud (Silver Linings Playbook) and fist-pump the air with joy (The Hunger Games).

She's also really flipping funny. Her red carpet interviews have become the thing of legend (she spends most of the time complaining that she's hungry), and her junket appearances always result in hilarious little gems.

Which is why J-Law has become Queen Of The Meme. Need proof? Check out this lot...

Note: Some of these are animated gifs. Click the X on each gallery image to play.

The Lioness

The Lioness

Jennifer lives to pull funny faces (as the following slides will prove). Here, one clever meme-maker pairs a J-Law roar with the MGM logo. If only every movie opened like this...

One Shot

One Shot

So you've just won an Oscar. How do you celebrate backstage? You do a shot of course. And this being Jennifer Lawrence, she does a shot before she hits the mike to answer journo questions and she openly admits to feeling a little squiffy. This is why we love her - Ms Lawrence has no verbal filter, on or off camera.

No Scrub

No Scrub

Easily one of the most memorable moments in American Hustle, here's Jennifer getting her boogy on to 'Live And Let Die'. While wearing a pair of Marigolds. This is basically us whenever we have to clean the house... (You can watch the whole glorious thing on YouTube here.)

Graceful Winner

Graceful Winner

Picking up her Golden Globe in 2013, Jennifer proves she's funny and knows her movie trivia. Having beaten awards-magnet Meryl Streep to the gong, Jennifer drops a perfectly-timed reference to The First Wives' Club by swooning, "I beat Meryl!", a line spoken in the film by Bette Midler. Hilarious.

Trim Fast

Trim Fast

Jennifer gives us all an insight into what it's like to be as insanely famous as she is. Sounds scary.

Regret

Regret

Like we said, Jennifer has no verbal filter. And she feels bad about that. Here's her expressing her shame at being quite so open on the red carpet.

Hey Good Lookin'

Hey Good Lookin'

Who could forget this moment from the 2013 Academy Awards? Having nabbed her first Oscar (for Silver Linings Playbook), Jennifer's being interviewed when Jack Nicholson appears over her shoulder. Better yet, she engages in a delirious flirt-off with the infamous lothario while also acting adorably starstruck. We wish we were this cool.

Dazed & Confused

Dazed & Confused

After that Meryl line-drop at the 2013 Golden Globes, Jennifer gets confused about what she's supposed to do during the press line. (Jury's out on whether another shot's involved, though it's more likely that J-Law's been dazed by all the acclaim and doesn't quite know what to do with herself.)

Self-Love

We're not entirely sure which chat show this is gif's from, or even exactly what's going on. All we know is that it's really funny.

The Hungry Games

The Hungry Games

Ahead of her Oscar win, Jennifer hits the red carpet and discovers there's no food inside. The look of pain on her face is the thing of Greek tragedies.

Face Pulling

Face Pulling

We warned you about the face-pulling, and here's some of J-Law's gurning at its absolute best. (Play the gif by hitting that 'X' in the top-right corner.)

Bad Bros

Bad Bros

One of the reasons we love Jennifer so much is because, despite being one of the most famous people on the planet, fame doesn't seem to have fazed her in the slightest. It's anecdotes like these that make us fall in love with her all over again.

Big Kid

Big Kid

No-one doubts that The Hunger Games is very serious and important, but nobody seems to have told Jennifer that. Here she is playing with a rubber prop knife like a big kid behind the scenes. And like a kid, an adult's on hand to take her toy away. No fair.

Mean Girls

Mean Girls

Having embraced her role as a, uh, role model for teens everywhere, Jennifer has some very astute advice. We stand by it and it looks like Elizabeth Banks does, too.

Zach Attack

Zach Attack

Jennifer becomes the latest guest on Zach Galifianakis' tongue-in-cheek chat show Between Two Ferns. Because she's always ready with a tart one-liner, she more than holds her own against the cheeky Hangover star.

Shake It Off

Shake It Off

Even Jennifer Lawrence gets star struck. Who does she get star struck by? Well, Taylor Swift, of all people...

Screw Loose

Screw Loose

Jennifer admits what we already know. See, she fully aware she does weird stuff all the time, which makes it okay for us to laugh along with her. Jen, we salute you!
