The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has landed with a cosmic amount of merch to go with it, but one toy is shining brighter than all the others - everyone's favorite green dino, complete with an egg to hatch from. So, where can you buy Hatchin' Yoshi?
That's the million dollar question. At the time of writing, it's devilishly hard to track down what is fast becoming one of the most popular and best toys of 2026. That's why I'm on the hunt for where to buy Hatchin' Yoshi in both the US and UK. If the Super Mario Galaxy Movie figure is available anywhere, you'll find it below.
I've also included some advice on its normal price so you aren't caught out by over-inflated costs. Yep, a few cheeky retailers are putting price-hikes in place due to demand - be careful out there!
Where to buy Hatchin' Yoshi in the US
Make a beeline for Walmart if you want to buy Hatchin' Yoshi - it has the toy in stock, and while it's a little overpriced, it's not too bad.
Walmart
While it's slightly overpriced compared to the usual MSRP of around $50, this isn't bad at all compared to what I've seen elsewhere. Actually, it was around $150 at Walmart thanks to a third-party seller last week!

Although you can technically buy Hatchin' Yoshi from third-parties via eBay, I wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other choice; the listings are through the roof, and far more expensive than they should be.

Where to buy Hatchin' Yoshi in the UK
We're short on options in the UK right now, but luckily, Smyths Toys does seem to have stock for Hatchin' Yoshi. Head straight there if you want it!
Smyths Toys
Smyths is the only place I've found where you can buy Hatchin' Yoshi for the normal price. I'm not sure how long it's going to last, so move quickly if you want one.

Check stock at Amazon
You can't currently buy Hatchin' Yoshi at Amazon, but I suspect it'll be back in stock before long. Keep an eye on the link above, or this listing that since seems to have been taken down.

It's worth noting that you can buy Hatchin' Yoshi from eBay, but you'll be paying a premium on it. Resellers have inflated the cost, so I'd avoid it unless you've got no other choice.

Hatchin' Yoshi FAQ
Curious about what Hatchin' Yoshi is? In essence, it's an animatronic (like Furby) that interacts with you when played with. That means it moves and lights up, but the real selling point is how it comes in an egg when you buy it. It then proceeds to break out and hatch, which is a really neat party trick.
How much should Hatchin' Yoshi cost?
The Hatchin' Yoshi toy has an MSRP of $49.88 in the USA, and £59.99 in the UK. If you see it for more than that, the costs have been artificially inflated.
Why is Hatchin' Yoshi so popular?
The biggest reason for Hatchin' Yoshi selling out is demand - it's an incredibly cool toy with an easy-to-understand selling point and a reasonable price. There's an element of resellers being cheeky, too. Once folks cottoned on to how popular the animatronic was, they started scooping it up to sell on at a markup.

I've been writing about games in one form or another since 2012, but these days you'll find me managing GamesRadar+'s tabletop gaming and toy coverage (I spend my time here handling everything from board game reviews to the latest Lego news). I've also been obsessed with Warhammer since the 1990s, and love nothing more than running tabletop RPGs like D&D as a Dungeon Master.
