The supernatural
Ghosts and zombies. Perhaps the funniest of all the enemies you'll encounter in gaming, but still a little scary, making them all the more rewarding to kill. Or, seeing as they're dead already, banish into the void. Zombies are the most common and defeating them has given way to a highly imaginative assortment of second deaths. We've shot them with lightguns, typed them to death, flamed them, exploded them, decapitated, dismembered and lobotomised them, run them over with lawnmowers and impaled them on spinning spikes. And that's not to mention the shower-head-in-the-cranium special from Dead Rising. Hehehe.
As for ghosts, Luigi has vacuumed them up, the Ghostbusters caught them in traps and Project Zero's camera caught them all saying 'cheese'. And we must say, looking at the pics below makes us want to get out all these games again. We love zombies. In a totally non-physical way, of course. Er... moving on, then...

Justin was a GamesRadar staffer for 10 years but is now a freelancer, musician and videographer. He's big on retro, Sega and racing games (especially retro Sega racing games) and currently also writes for Play Magazine, Traxion.gg, PC Gamer and TopTenReviews, as well as running his own YouTube channel. Having learned to love all platforms equally after Sega left the hardware industry (sniff), his favourite games include Christmas NiGHTS into Dreams, Zelda BotW, Sea of Thieves, Sega Rally Championship and Treasure Island Dizzy.
