The Top 7... forgotten sequels

The game: Guitar Hero Encore Rocks the '80s

Why you didn't play it: The simple answer? The 80's ended almost 20 years ago, and unless you lived through them the first time, the appeal of hair metal anthems like Poison's "Nothin' But A Good Time" and new wave pop like Oingo Boingo's "Only a Lad" is questionable. Many gamers hadn't heard these songs and if they had, this was their parents' music. Add in a stripped down package with no unlockables, fewer playable characters than GHII, a midsummer ship date and the pending release of both Guitar Hero III and Rock Band, and it's clear why this disc didn't quite go platinum.

Why you should have: Because it's still Guitar Hero, and the formula works for these tunes just as well as it does for modern and classic rock. Besides, if you do know some of this stuff (admit it: deep down, you think Twisted Sister rocks), it's some of the head-bangingest, horns throwingest rock excess you'll ever smash your guitar controller to.
