Activision has released a Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer showing off the series’ new Squads mode. Across various game types it combines solo play, competitive multiplayer and cooperative play, with squads often complemented by AI team mates or opponents. Players create a squad of soldiers and earn XP to rank them up, unlocking new customisation and loadout options as they go. XP earned also carries over to the title’s regular multiplayer game modes.
Squad vs Squad mode pits you against one other player and their squad to see who dominates the map. Safeguard is completely cooperative with up to four players pitted against waves of enemies. In Squad Assault, you and up to five friends can battle other players' AI controlled team while they’re offline. When you’re offline, your squad can be challenged and earn you XP while you’re away. In Wargame, your team can be made up of friends or AI controlled soldiers from your squad, with players battling an AI controlled team of soldiers.
