Ryan Gosling's face looks like it has been battered to a pulp in the first promo poster for Nicolas Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives .
Revealed over at The Film Stage , the OGF poster promises a film of brutal violence, with the Drive director and star reteaming for a Thai boxing drama.
It’s safe to say Gosling will be on the receiving end of some brutal treatment, if the sight of his face on this one-sheet is anything to go by.
It’s a risky marketing move, battering in a face that’s been having cinemagoers swooning over the past few years, but it’s one we reckon will pay off in dividends.
Only God Forgives sees Gosling play a Bangkok-based gangster seeking revenge for the death of his brother, through the medium of Thai boxing. Kristen Scott Thomas is set to bring menace as his mother.
