Sony finally unleashes its next-gen mega-console on the Japanese gaming public today, and GamesRadar has the perfect way for you to stay updated on the biggest event of the year. GamesRadar and PSM3 correspondent Joel Snape is in Tokyo now - and he's second inline to buy one of the world's first PS3s!

Head over toPSM3's official blog (opens in new tab) to read Joel's on-the-scene wireless posts, and perhaps grab a glimpse of the Tokyo culture in some consumer-eye photos. Yes, game fans, right now globe-trotter Joel is attempting to not freeze to death in a sleeping bag on the streets of Akihabara.

Joel's already been interviewed for Tokyo TV, fallen in love with a million Japanese girls and witnessed the arrival of the precious PS3 cargo. And with the launch set to kick offsoon, hopes are high that Sony president Ken Kutaragi himself will make an appearance. Maybe he'll even let Joel touch him...
