PES 2017 video preview shows off Barcelona, better keepers, and 35-yard wondergoals

Fed up of reading how great PES 2017 is (if you're not, read our in-depth PES 2017 FAQ) and just want to see the game in action? You've come to the right place. GR+'s video preview sees senior video producer James Jarvis and lead sports writer Ben Wilson go hands-on with PES 2017 as France, Germany, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. We chat – and show – new keeper animations, improved shooting and passing, the ability to smash the ball into the net for a second time after scoring (seriously, this is one of the coolest new features), and much more. Hit the play button above to watch.

PES 2017 is released on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on September 13.

I'm GamesRadar's freelance sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
