If you were to create a list of actors you'd love to see portray ex-South African leader and global civil rights activist Nelson Mandela, you'd probably stop at one; Morgan Freeman.
You'll be delighted to learn that the audience favourite is indeed playing the legendary leader in Clint Eastwood's latest film Invictus , which, terrible title aside, portrays the lead up to the 1995 Rugby World Cup, used by Mandela as a chance to unite his countrymen.
Matt Damon also stars as South African rugby star Francois Pienaar.

Wow. That may actually be Nelson Mandela. The make-up people should be mailed their Oscar right now, as well as Freeman and Clint. They should have changed the title to 'Oscar Bait' and just let it happen.
Invictus is released in the UK on February 5 2010.
