Marc Webb has tweeted a new image from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 , giving us our first look at Paul Giamatti in character as The Rhino.
The new image features a heavily tattooed Giamatti turning it up to eleven as Eastern-European thug Aleksei Sytsevich, his nickname referring to his combination of super-strength, speed and sub-par intelligence.

Exactly how The Rhino will fit into proceedings remains to be seen, although we can assume he will be a secondary antagonist to Jamie Foxx’s big bad, Electro.
Giamatti is always entertaining when fully allowed off the chain (see Shoot ‘Em Up for further details), and from the looks of this first image, he isn’t holding anything back here.
Directed by Webb and co-starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Chris Cooper, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will open in the UK on 18 April 2014.
