The nerdcore are familiar with Nathan Fillion, whomade his career in niche celluloid gold like Firefly and Dr. Horrible’s Singalong Blog. Fillion gets by on equal parts charm and smarm, and now, it seems, the actor is on a mission: to headline in the in-production Uncharted film adaptation.
Using his Twitter account to start his own kind of revolution, Fillion wrote “If ever there was a Twitter campaign, let this be it. Rise, ye Browncoats. Rise, ye Castillions. RISE!” A link to aDeadline New York articleabout the forthcoming game adaptation followed.
Above: Because “hammer” means “penis.” Don’t argue.
Since it’s widely believed that Fillion was Nathan Drake’s chief inspiration, this is kind of a no-brainer. The film adaptation itself has already gone through a rocky start. Having been reportedly in production for over a year as of 2009, theLA Times reportedover the summer that Three Kings and IHeart Huckabees director David O. Russell was in consideration to helm the project, but dropped out, forcing the flick offthe fast-track to theaters. On October 8, theHollywood Reporter confirmedthat Russell is back in the driver’s seat for an unspecified release date. Phew.
